The GKS Packaging LEAF is a specialised vertical form, fill and seal machine developed specifically for producing bags from paper packaging material. Designed as an alternative to conventional plastic-film packaging, the LEAF is suitable for a wide range of food and non-food products and can produce both pillow and stand-up style bags.
This machine presents in excellent, near-new condition and was reportedly only used as a trade-show demonstration unit. Its distinctive stainless-steel open-frame construction provides excellent accessibility for cleaning, inspection and maintenance.
The machine incorporates high-pressure sealing specifically developed for paper, controlled paper handling and tracking, and a dedicated forming set. An in-line net applicator allows paper bags to be produced with mesh/netting positioned behind a product viewing window, making it particularly suitable for fresh produce applications such as potatoes, onions, carrots and similar products.
The modular machine design allows individual components to be exchanged quickly, helping minimise maintenance downtime. Controls are provided through Allen-Bradley automation hardware together with user-friendly interfaces on both sides of the machine.
