Proquip Solutions is the authorised New Zealand distributor for Quadro Engineering, which invented the original conical screen mill, the Quadro Comil, in 1976. The range includes underdriven and overdriven Comil conical mills, the F10 fine-grind mill, FlexSift powder security screening, and the SDX and SLS platforms, developed with sister company Fitzpatrick. Quadro equipment is trusted by pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, dairy and chemical manufacturers across New Zealand, and is installed, serviced and supported by our team in Wiri, Auckland.
Is sifting slowing your line down? Tell us your powder, mesh size and output, and we'll recommend the right FlexSift.
Discuss your powderThe FlexSift is an inline, centrifugal industrial sifter. Powder enters a rotating screen chamber, and the rotation pushes good product through the screen while oversize lumps and foreign materials are held back for removal. Because it works by rotation rather than vibration, it's quiet, low-dust and compact. Proquip Solutions is the authorised New Zealand distributor for Quadro.
Quadro reports the FlexSift achieving up to seven times the capacity of traditional vibratory and horizontal sifters, with nearly 100 percent product recovery. It runs without vibration, makes less noise and dust, takes up less space, and can sift through finer meshes, cutting sifting times for very fine powders from days to hours. For many plants, that means fewer bottlenecks before packing.
Replacing a vibratory sifter? sales@proquipx.com
Yes. The FlexSift gently breaks up soft lumps and agglomerates without size-reducing the powder particles themselves. An optional spoiler arm breaks apart friable lumps and helps very fine powders pass through the screen, so caked raw materials can be restored to free-flowing powder without changing their specification.
Security screeners are usually placed where powder enters the process or just before packing. The FlexSift's low-profile, inline design fits beneath most bag dump stations, bulk bag unloaders and mixer discharges, so it can be added without major changes. Screening at intake also protects downstream equipment from damage caused by foreign objects.

Traditional vibratory sifters release fine particles into the air, which affects operators and increases dust explosion risk. The FlexSift's inline design reduces airborne fines, lowering that risk, and an optional ultra-low operator exposure (OEL) design protects operators handling potent or harmful powders. ATEX-compliant setups are available for explosive environments.

The FlexSift comes in lab and production sizes. The S5, part of the SLS scalable lab system, suits lab work and lower capacities with a small footprint, while the S10 and S20 suit mid-range production capacities. The right size depends on your powder, mesh size and hourly output.

The FlexSift is built from stainless steel with an easy-clean design and quick screen changes, so it can be turned around between products quickly. Faster cleaning means more batches per shift and supports GMP and food safety requirements in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and food plants.
