The Watermelon Wedger uses specially shaped blades to cut a watermelon into evenly shaped wedges. In one swift movement into two, four, six or eight wedges. Up to eight wedges per minute.
The machine is equipped with a turntable with three different positions. The watermelon is manually placed on the first position. After placing it, the turntable moves the watermelon to the next position for further processing. If the watermelon is in the second position, it is cut into two, four, six o0f eight equal pieces. After the cutting process, the table turns to the third and final position. Here, the melon is gently tilted out of the machine, and the wedges slide onto a stainless steel chute. All operations are performed simultaneously.
The machine operator is protected by a safety light curtain. The blade cannot be approached during operation. If the light detects an object or a hand, the machine stops immediately. The back of the machine is equipped with two safety doors that provide maximum access for maintenance and cleaning.
