Large industrial process tank previously used for sulphuric acid circulation and storage.
The engineering drawing identifies the vessel as an SX acid circulation tank, with an approximate internal diameter of 4,900 mm and an approximate shell height of 2,895 mm. Based on these dimensions, the tank has an estimated nominal capacity of approximately 54,000 litres. That is the theoretical gross cylindrical volume. The actual working capacity may be lower due to freeboard, internal fittings, floor shape, nozzle levels or operating limits.
Potential applications include:
Any proposed reuse should be assessed by a suitably qualified engineer, particularly where the tank will return to sulphuric acid or other hazardous chemical service.
Offered for sale as-is, where-is and ex-site.
The tank shows visible external corrosion consistent with its age, previous sulphuric acid service and industrial environment. Its internal condition, remaining wall thickness and suitability for continued chemical service have not been confirmed.
Inspection is welcomed before purchase. Cleaning certification, ultrasonic wall-thickness testing, material-compatibility checks and an engineering assessment are recommended before the tank is returned to service.
Removal, lifting, dismantling, transport and site reinstatement are the purchaser’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
