Extending shelf life is on top of our priority list
Shelf life is the length of time that a product, especially food, can be kept in a shop before it becomes too old to be sold or consumed. Not surprisingly that shelf life is very important. Not only to prevent waste, but also to extend the time a product can be freshly displayed in a shop.

How do we extend the shelf life of your product?
Because fruit is very fragile and bruises easily, our machines handle the product with the utmost care during processing. Take for example our mango machines; the fruit is not carried on the fruit itself, but on the stone. That way the flesh of the mango stays intact.

But also the soft pads in our (grape) Destemmer, oscillating knives in our peeling machines and smooth slides for the outlet of the product keep the fruit from bruising. It all results in a longer shelf life.

What are oscillating knives, and why are they used?
In most of our machines, we make use of oscillating knives. These knives make an up-and-down cutting movement, to prevent pressure on the fruit. The knives we use are thin peelers, extra sharp, and they also prevent waste of your product.

Longer shelf life, more sustainable
Don't forget that a longer shelf life not only gives you more time to distribute your products, it also prevents waste. The fruit can be sold for a longer period of time and a consumer has more time to enjoy it.
