The Fruit & Vegetable Wedger cuts various fruits and vegetables, such as pepper, cabbage, squash, melon, pineapple and apple, into equal halves or 4-5 wedges. With a capacity of up to 30 pieces per minute, the machine delivers sharp, uniform wedges, ready for packing or further processing.
The products are manually placed in the rubber holders on the belt. Once placed on the belt, then the chain conveyor moves the product into the machine. If the fruit or vegetable is in the cutting area, the operator cannot come into contact with the blades. to come into contact with the blades. The cutting area is a closed compartment that can only be opened when the machine is not in operation.
Several options are available
The standard version is equipped with positions for four and five wedges. This makes it possible to cut smaller wedges from a large celeriac, for example. Of course, this can be adjusted. In the guarded cutting area, a knife is inserted through the product from below. A holder above it holds the product in place for nice and even wedges. The knives are located directly under the trays in the guarded area and are easy to take out via an outlet on the side of the machine. Optionally, the 4 and 5-segmented blades can be replaced by two 1-segmented blades that cut the product into two halves.
The wedges are led out of the machine via a chute on the side of the machine. There, they can be collected in a bin or transported upwards on a conveyor belt. If required, a counter can be fitted to tell you exactly how many wedges have been cut.
